Introduction to the elevators based on the internal mechanism

The types of elevators are:

🔹electric elevators (traction elevator, magnetic elevator, rollerless elevator and screw elevator)
🔹hydraulic elevator
🔹pneumatic elevator

of course all Elevators work with electricity, but in the elevator industry, they are divided into three main categories.

Tensor elevator

This type of elevators are electric elevators and as the name of the traction elevator suggests, they use the traction feature by the tow wires to move the cabin. In traction elevators, most of the required energy is provided by the elevator motor installed in the elevator motor room, and the balance weight causes the cabin to move by creating a weight difference.

Hydraulic elevator

Hydraulic elevator is another type of elevator that moves the elevator cabin by the oil pressure in the oil pump and hydraulic jack and moves people or cargo.
Hydraulic elevators for low heights is used more. These types of elevators are also known as home elevators. It should be noted that due to the fact that there is no weight frame in the hydraulic elevator design, a stronger elevator motor is needed than traction elevators. Hydraulic elevators do not need a house motor. These types of elevators occupy less space than other elevators. Since it is easy to carry heavy loads with hydraulic elevators, these types of elevators have more power in carrying heavy loads compared to traction elevators.

Pneumatic elevator

Pneumatic elevators do not have a motor room and are mostly installed for 2 to 4 story houses (duplex, etc.) On average, pneumatic elevators have the ability to move about 240 kg of load and use a vacuum system to move the cabin.
