The introduction of gramophone, radio, and television to the coffeehouses gradually narrowed the space for the presence of Naqal and other actors and impersonators. It was in this situation that both the carrier and the coffee house lost their place among the people.
With this transformation, the coffee house could no longer work as an active institution and respond to the demands of today's youth. Young people were looking for another suitable place to gather and hang out to spend their free time. This is how the cafe and the custom of sitting in a cafe emerged in Iranian society. The cafe phenomenon was formed in Tehran in imitation of the West in the first decades of the 14th century, 1310 and 1320, and the tradition of sitting in a cafe started in Iran from that time. First, it spread in big cities such as Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan and Rasht, and then it became common in other cities and became a hangout for urban groups and strata of people. When the coffeehouse started and expanded in Iran, all classes of people from different classes and strata could go to the coffeehouse, but women had no place in the coffeehouses. In case, in the new phenomenon, i.e. cafe, both sexes could go and sitting in a cafe was not reserved for a specific gender or group.
