Hood types
Generally, there are currently two types of hoods available in the market. Purifier hoods and hoods with air outlet. Purifying hoods draw in dust and odors, remove suspended particles from the air as much as possible and return the purified air to the kitchen. The hood has an air outlet connected to a channel through which dust, grease and unpleasant odors are sent out.
These hoods are available in the market in two forms, regular and fireplace hoods. Normal hoods, which are considered the old generation of hoods, are installed above the gas stove, they are slightly smaller than the dimensions of the gas stove. It is attached to the wall, often under a wall cabinet, and by means of a vent and channel built into the wall, it directs the air into the vent and from there to the roof and outside.
The disadvantage of these types of hoods is that over time it affects the insulation and color of the roof. Fireplace hoods are taller, larger, and inverted funnel-shaped. These hoods are made of copper, non-oxidizing metals or other metals that are resistant to heat and are easy to clean. The ventilator of these hoods is sometimes connected to the wall and sometimes to the ceiling, and its ceiling type is known as island hoods, and it is surrounded by glass. Keeping the kitchen and its equipment clean is very important for health reasons, because many diseases are spread through existing equipment. It is transferred to the person in the kitchen

Hood Equipment and Equipment:
Filters:
All hoods have a filter that absorbs a large amount of grease and dust that sometimes enters the ventilation channel. If for any reason it is not possible to install a fan, use charcoal filters. This type of filter absorbs dust and grease better, and although it is not as effective as hoods with ventilation, it makes the air in the kitchen cleaner.
Metallic filters have a long life and are very practical if used together with a charcoal filter. Fat filters only absorb fat, and charcoal filters absorb unpleasant odors, but they are not very effective alone.
Lamp:
Almost all hoods are equipped with a halogen lamp that helps you see the gas stove and your food better.
Sensor:
Some hoods are equipped with sensors that adjust the suction power of the hood based on the amount of pollution in the air.
Round motor regulator:
Hoods have three speeds that adjust the power of the engine according to the amount of air pollution. To test the suction power of a hood, just put a sheet of paper or a piece of thread under it.
The right place to install
The best place to install the hood is above the gas stove and at a distance of 40 to 60 cm. For this reason, normal hoods seem to be more efficient than the new generation of fireplace and island hoods.
Hood cleansing
As said, keeping the kitchen and its equipment clean is very important for health reasons. Since the hood absorbs the smell of smoke, moisture and excess fat during cooking, it is a suitable environment for the growth of molds and bacteria. So clean the hood at least once a month, especially if you use a grill.
