Construction faucets are part of the equipment and consumables and of course necessary for residential, commercial, medical, etc. buildings. These functional items that make hydration easy, while they are similar to each other, have different structures and functions. Today, various models of faucets are designed and produced using the latest technology, which in addition to the well-being and comfort of consumers, also saves water.

Types of construction valves

Usually, faucets in a residential house are seen in the kitchen, yard, and bathroom, each of which has a different shape. In this article, we would like to introduce the types of construction faucets in detail. In general, construction valves are divided into two categories: valves with gaskets and valves without gaskets, and each of these groups has its own subsets. Disc valves, cartridge valves and ball valves are included in the category of valves without gaskets and pressure valves are included in the category of valves with gaskets.

Gasket

Gasketed valves are valves whose body and core are made of brass alloy, and plastic gaskets are used for better sealing inside their core. One of the most important models of gasketed valves is the pressure model. Valves with washers are divided into two types of pedals and two knobs, and other names of it can be mentioned as rotary, flap, brain, etc.

Pressure construction valves

Pressure construction faucets are among the oldest faucets used in the construction industry and are of the washer type and direct hot and cold water in a pipe to the outlet. The problem of water dripping in the washer that is in the brain of these valves is abundantly seen.

Valves without gaskets

Valves without washers have a different mechanism than valves with washers. Instead of using washers for sealing, these types of valves use things like discs, cartridges, and hubs in their structure. Other names of valves without washers include pedal, lever, etc.

Model Discus Model Valves (Types of Lever Valves)

The control of the water flow in all types of single-lever disc sanitary faucets is done by a disc, which is designed inside the brain. It is one of the most modern construction faucets for commercial and residential use. Disc valves, which are single-lever valves, can easily control the water flow by having one lever. Their lever is located on a thick cylinder which is the base of the valve.

Using all kinds of lever valves, especially single lever, is very convenient; So that when you turn the valve around, the water is cold and hot and the pressure is the same. One of the most important advantages of construction disk valves is that water consumption is saved, and due to the lack of washers in these valves, the problem of water dripping is no longer seen in these valves.

Cartridge valves

Cartridge faucets are another type of faucets without washers that control the flow and temperature of water using a cartridge. Its appearance is very similar to two-lever pressure valves, but they move closer or farther away from each other with the movement of the lever or handle. And in this way they control the flow of water.

Model Building Valves

Ball valves have been commonly used since ancient times, and their mechanism is such that the lever or valve handle in these valves is connected to a ball, which adjusts the amount of water output with the holes it has.

These valves are used both in construction valves and in industrial valves; On the other hand, they do not need a gasket to seal the flow of water in and out.

These valves are available in two models, double lever and single lever, and their only problem is that if their ball loses its polish or it reacts with the water in the area of use over time and gets corroded more than other valves. It leaks without a washer.
