Spiral Round Channel
The pipes that are installed in the building to transfer hot and cold air are called channels or ducts, but if the shape of these channels is round, they are also called spiral channels. Spiral channels are made in different sizes and are more used than square channels because square channels have weaknesses that round spiral channels cover these weaknesses. According to the size of the channel, which in some cases is also produced with the desired size, the channel can be used and installed in the system using connections and flanges.

The benefits of spiral round channel
The rectangular channel
According to the construction model, square channels have more area and volume than round channels, and for this reason, they have more installation and maintenance costs. In the construction of the square channel, approximately 32% of galvanized sheets have been used in each meter of length. Of course, this channel can also be produced with fiberglass sheets, but it costs more than galvanized. The square channel can be installed in any space and at any height, and it can be easily repaired in case of damage. On flat surfaces, they use square channels to create a regular network of branches.
The benefits of the rectangular channel
Using square channels is more useful in closed and tight spaces. The fan coil can be easily installed in this channel and has a better view than the round channel. Square channels are mostly used for low pressure and low altitude systems.

The differences of round and rectangular channels
Leak
Air leakage is less in spiral round channels because longitudinal connections are not used for installing these channels and the number of transverse connections is less compared to square channel, therefore air friction is less in these channels and as a result air leakage is less. We do not recommend the use of additional sealants to employers because it causes the smallest pores and seams to be closed, and if the ventilation system has a problem, it will be difficult to control and troubleshoot.
Sound
Insulation
Spiral round channels are more insulating due to not having sharp edges and insulation in these channels is easier than square channels. Square channels have the ability to be insulated from the inside, but round spiral channels cannot be insulated from the inside, for this reason, we will have a warmer environment inside the system in square channels.
