How does a pressure tank work?
Pressure tanks are designed to operate by reaching the pressure level required to perform a functional function such as holding air in a diving tank. These tanks can apply pressure directly through valves and release valves, or apply pressure indirectly through heat transfer.
Using pressure tanks in industry
Pressure tanks are used in many different industries, but three industries cover most of the market. These industries include oil and gas industry, chemical industry and energy industry.

Oil and gas industry
In the oil and gas industry, a pressure vessel is often used as a receiver where physical and chemical processes are carried out at high temperature and pressure.
Chemical Industries
In a pressure vessel in the chemical industry, a process (chemical reaction) takes place, which leads to a fundamental change in the contents of the container.
Energy Industry (Electricity Production)
There are several reasons why the energy sector in general needs pressure vessels. One of the main reasons for their need in the energy sector is the presence of harmful gases. Also, nuclear power plants use special pressure vessels called reactor pressure vessels (RPVs).
