Knowing the types of salt
Salt is the most beneficial and widely used product around the world. In the world of cooking, salt has always been an essential ingredient for making different dishes and it is the most useful product in homes and professional kitchens in the world, so it is important to know its different types and to know which one is healthier.
Natural salt or table salt:
Table salt is the most popular and cheapest salt in the market. Table salt is refined salt that is usually extracted from underground salt deposits. Sodium chloride is one of the main elements of this type of salt. To remove the minerals from this salt, it is processed and additives are used to prevent it from becoming lumpy.
Iodine is added to most table salt because it is essential for thyroid function. However, if you have thyroid problems, the added iodine in table salt does not compensate for the disadvantages of additives and processing. Most healthy adults get their daily iodine intake from common foods such as dairy, seafood, and eggs. Table salt has the same grain and texture as kosher salt, but there are many reasons why we use it a little more than kosher or sea salt.
Sea salt:
Most sea salts are produced by the evaporation of seawater, although some do not undergo this process. Quality sea salts are produced in a long evaporation process (about five years), while refined sea salts are cheaper and produced through a rapid evaporation process, but cannot be considered poor quality. This type of salt has compounds such as chloride, sodium, iodine and fluorine and other additives. Chloride and sodium are the main components of these salts and they have a grayish color. High-quality sea salt and refined sea salt have distinct uses in the kitchen and give foods a stronger flavor than regular and natural salt, this type of salt is much healthier and more expensive than natural salt.

Maldon Sea Salt:
Maldon sea salts are one of the most affordable and at the same time the highest quality sea salt options available in the market, which have crunchy grains and good taste due to the lack of any additives. This type of salt is mostly used during cooking so that it dissolves during the cooking process.
Maldon Smoked Sea Salt:
Another great yet affordable option is Maldon Smoked Sea Salt. This salt is refined and of high quality. Also, it has a caramel color and a smoky taste that will season it without overpowering the taste of the food.
This salt, like all sea salts, is pure and natural and has no additives. Eat grilled meats and fish with smoked sea salt.
Celtic Sea Salt:

Himalayan salt:
In recent years, many people have become interested in consuming Himalayan salt. This salt is pink in color and is extracted and produced from rock crystals near the Himalayas and usually in Pakistan. Himalayan salt is one of the rare types of salt that is excellent for body functions. Himalayan salt, like quality sea salt, contains important minerals such as potassium, manganese, iron and zinc, which the body needs for better functioning.
Himalayan salt has a pink color due to mineral impurities and it can be used in different ways in the kitchen. The smaller grains of this salt can be used in cooking like kosher salt or sea salt, while the larger grains can be ground or used in decorations. Coarse Himalayan salt has a more delicate taste than kosher or sea salt, so sprinkling it on prepared food or even fruits has a great effect on the taste. They won't.
Since this salt is mined, there may be some sediment or gravel in the mixture, so be sure to separate them and grind the salt before using it for cooking.

Kosher salt:
Kosher salt is suitable for cooking and can be used in almost any recipe. It also has a cheap price and no additives.
Mineral salt:
This type of salt is obtained from the upper layers of sea salt mines, which use traditional and exceptional techniques to collect it from the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, and because of its special taste, it is used in delicious food recipes. This is a wrong hypothesis, that its consumption will not absorb and retain water. If you compare with other salts, you will find that its sodium content is 15% and its sodium chloride is 9.92% less, and compared to the taste, it has a weaker ratio because it dissolves easily in your mouth.
Blue salt:
This unique salt, which is extracted from the salt lake in Iran, is very rich in minerals and slightly sweet. The blue color of this type of salt is due to the compression of the salt structure naturally and over the years.
