The sandblasting gearbox is responsible for transferring power from the electric motor to the spiral axis or washing vanes. This gearbox usually reduces the engine speed to produce a lot of torque, because the sandblasting machine needs a lot of power but a low rotation speed.

Ratio: usually between 1:20 and 1:60, depending on the type of salt sand

Output shaft: hollow or solid shaft - usually hardened steel
