Profile is one of the most used terms in the steel market and refers to different products. Profiles are used in different fields and are generally divided into two types, industrial and construction. Industrial profiles are sections that are used in industries other than construction; Of course, some of these products have common applications, and in addition to industries such as automobile manufacturing, they are also used in civil engineering and construction.
What is an Industrial Profile
In general, profiles are hollow steel sections that are usually produced using steel sheets. Industrial profiles have more thickness and larger dimensions; For this reason, they use thick sheets with a thickness of more than 1.5 mm to produce them. Industrial profiles are usually among heavy profiles and have more weight. The use of industrial profiles is more limited than construction profiles, that's why factories produce these products in a smaller volume.

Industrial Profile Types
Types of Industrial Profiles
Profiles are generally made according to 2 different methods
Hot rolling method: In this method, the industrial profile is made using steel ingots. Profiles such as tubular profiles, cans, belts, sheets, studs and rebars are included in this category.
Cold rolling method: In this method, steel sheets are produced during pressing or bending operations. Finally, the profiles that are made in this way are included in the category of light steel parts. Cold rolling is also divided into 2 direct and indirect methods. In the direct method, the sheet can be passed through the mold to form and the seams are welded together. In the indirect method, the pipe should be placed in different molds so that the shape of the cross-section surface is created along their length.
beams
The beam is considered as one of the useful profiles in various industries, which consists of 2 wings and a web. The beam is generally classified as hard and long steel sections. This steel section is used in beams and columns of a structure. There are different types of beams, such as IPE, IPB, and INP, each of which differs from each other in terms of thickness and thickness, as well as the size of the wings, and the price of the beam is calculated based on its types.
studi
The structure of studs consists of a web (in the center) and 2 vertical wings. These industrial profiles are divided into 2 categories C and UPE in terms of appearance structure. If the wings of a stud are uniform in thickness and parallel, it is called a C stud, and if the wing structure is made in a standard way, it is called a UPE stud.
Corner
In addition to various types of industrial profiles, corner profiles are also very practical, which are used in the connections of different steel sections. The corner structure consists of 2 levels perpendicular to each other. These profiles are also called L-shaped sections due to their appearance. Corners are made through hot and cold rolling methods.
rebar
Rebar is another industrial and steel profile that is made in circular, long and thick shape. Rebars are specially used to increase the strength of various structures in various industries and include 4 categories A1, A2, A3 and A4. Each type of rebar in the iron and steel market has its own uses and characteristics.
Shields are also called T profile due to their different structure and appearance. This profile is one of the steel sections that is considered both as an industrial profile and as a construction profile. This cross section is used for building truss structures, glass or false ceilings, etc. All kinds of shield profiles are made in cold and hot rolling furnaces and have narrow and long wings.

Types of Tube
Different types of industrial and construction pipes that are used in the piping system have a special place among the types of industrial profiles due to their high resistance, strength and resistance to corrosion. Steel pipes can be either welded or used as a seamless joint.
cans
In the iron and steel market of Iran, types of industrial and steel profiles that are made in rectangular and square form are called cans. These profiles are usually used to advance various projects in the automotive industry, the production of various household appliances, the construction industry, etc.
Foursquare Profile
Chaharso or four-sided is one of the steel profiles whose cross-section is full and square. The most important feature of this profile is related to its cross-sectional shape, which ultimately leads to easier welding and turning operations. Among the applications of this steel profile, we can mention the construction of decorative parts of structures, the construction of doors and windows, axis of connections, frames, fasteners, etc.
Profile Z
As can be seen from the name of this profile, its external structure is similar to the Latin letter Z and is known as the most important reinforcing element of roofs, columns and beams. The main application of this profile can be seen in warehouses, sheds or the truss structure of roller coasters.
Hat Profile
This category of rolled industrial profiles, known as hats, are widely used in all industries, especially in the automotive industry. Another application of this type of industrial profiles is their use in the production of tow trucks. It is interesting to know that the use of this profile is not limited to specialized industries and it can also be used to make transfer surfaces in chicken farms. The most important feature of these industrial profiles is their simple and easy welding.

Door & Window Profile
This category of industrial and construction profiles is one of the most widely used steel sections, which include different types such as door frame, frame, frame, French, Roman, Mexican, etc. Of course, in addition to the various types that have been mentioned, we should also mention the profile of the door and window shield, which is different from the shield profile that we discussed earlier. The price of aluminum profile, which is one of the types of this product, also undergoes daily and momentary fluctuations.
