Painting Company in Iran Color Industry
In today's world, color plays a very important role in cultivating human taste and satisfying his aesthetic needs. This is why the sense of color is called the seventh sense. Man deals with color in the production of home decoration, clothing and even soft drinks, in art, painting, shipping industries and communications, consumer products in the space industry and in short in all aspects. In general, in addition to creating a beautiful environment, color is used to protect objects from natural factors, etc.
The components of the colors in the paint industry
Pigment
It is a colored substance insoluble in water (impure colored clay and snow powder from colored stones were used as the first pigments by humans).

Color carrier
It is a liquid that is mixed with pigment, makes it easy to use and helps in sticking it (egg white, honey glue, sugar solution as color carriers) was used). Today, the most common carriers of pigments are water or oil. Therefore, colors are divided into two categories: oil colors and organic colors.
Types of pigment
Oxides
Limonite (Fe2O3.2H2O) is used to prepare red color and is one of the oldest pigments.
Hematite (Fe2O3) is used to prepare red color It is used bright.
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is used to prepare bright and very high-quality white color that does not darken in the air. It is usually mixed with barium sulfate. Zinc oxide (ZnO), which is one of the most important white pigments, is obtained from the decomposition of zinc carbonate or the burning of zinc metal in air. Pb2O3) which has a red or dark red color and is mostly used to cover the surface of steel parts in order to protect them from rusting.
Zinc sulfide and lithopene
In the paint industry, zinc sulfide is used to prepare matte white paint, and one of its advantages is that it does not turn black in the air, unlike lead white. This pigment is mostly used in commerce as a mixture of zinc sulfide and barium sulfate called lithopene, which is a very high quality white color.
Lead white
This pigment mainly contains Pb(OH)2, PbCO3, which was known centuries ago. Their covering power is great, but in the air, due to the presence of H2O, it gradually turns black. To turn it back to white, you can use the effect of hydrogen peroxide on it.
Lamp soot and bone charcoal
It is one of the components of black and composite paint and it is also used to change the white color as desired.
Metallic pigments
such as aluminum powder in polished oil, which is used to protect iron and steel tools
Aluminum bronze (Al, Cu alloy) In polishing oil, which is used to create a beautiful golden color around the frames and....
Alvan pigments
Blue pigments: In the paint industry, the most important of these pigments are Prussian blue and indigo blue or lapis lazuli. Prussian blue is one of the most important blue colors. Lapis lazuli is also one of the high-quality blue colors obtained by heating a mixture of kaolin, sodium carbonate, sulfur and coal in the absence of air.
Yellow pigments: The most important and main of these pigments are zinc chromate and lead chromate. Aluminum pigments are also obtained from coal tar in the form of insoluble salts of metals, which gel in aluminum hydroxide. After drying, this jelly is mixed in powder form with pigments such as calcium carbonate and siliceous and used in all kinds of required colors.
Oil paints
In this type of paints, the pigment is dissolved in a drying oil which is glycerin ester with fatty acids, such as oleic or linolenic acids. These oils are oxidized in the air, turn into saturated compounds and form a hard, resistant and protective layer that prevents water from penetrating the pigment.
Diluent
It is used for dilution and ease of work, and it is usually a hydrocarbon solvent such as turpentine, which is known as turpentine oil.
Dryer
is one of the components of oil paints, which actually has the role of a catalyst in accelerating the oxidation and drying of paints, and is mostly a mixture of lead, manganese and cobalt oxides. It is used as an ester in (linseed oil).

Plastic colors in the paint industry
By adding synthetic resins such as phenol and formaldehyde resin, which has plastic properties, in polished oil, plastic colors are obtained. These types of colors are important and have many applications due to their durability and washability.
Glazed or matte colors in the paint industry
By adding colors such as TiO2 to polished oil, it becomes matte, then it is used to make any type of color matte.< /p>
Car paint
These types of paints should have the characteristic of drying quickly in the air. Therefore, the pigment is dissolved in highly volatile organic solvents such as amyl acetate, ethyl acetate or butyl acetate. For metallic colors, metallic pigments are used.
Water-soluble paints
These types of paints are prepared by suspending pigments in water mixed with a water-soluble adhesive. They are cheaper than oil paints and cannot be washed
Seeing colors in paint industries
Objects are seen in color because of the way light reflects off them. The white light of the sun or electric lamp contains all the colors of the light spectrum. When white light falls on an object, they form the object. For example, a green object is an object that reflects only green rays and absorbs the rest. An object that reflects all the colors of the light spectrum is seen as white. An object that does not reflect any color is seen as black.
