In power supply systems, in addition to powering the device (including three phases), control signals can also be transmitted through power supply systems. According to the tonnage of the crane and the length of the movement path, power supply systems are offered in different applications and types.

In general, power supply systems are divided into two main parts:

1. Conductor Rail, Flat Cable and Festoon Cable

Conductor Rail

It consists of a series of metal belts or rods, which are made of steel, galvanized, copper or stainless steel, depending on the application and amperage, and also a non-conductive strip that covers it on three sides. . Power supply buses are usually installed under or inside the carrier beam and transmit power with a brush. When the length of the hall (sole) is long, an expansion piece should be used, and a larger number of feedings should be used in long routes.

Festoon Cable

The flat cable system and C-rail in short routes (about 40 meters) perform the task of supplying power to the crane. In halls where there are two or more cranes, C-rails and cables can no longer be used, and busbars must be used. But in any case, flat cable and C-rail are used for horizontal power supply. Transverse power supply has the task of delivering power from the main switchboard to the crane lift. The flat cable and C-rail system is installed parallel to the carrier beam or the main beam of the crane, just like the electric busbars, and the pulleys move along the track of the rail, which has a cross-section similar to the English C, and moves the cable along with it. Flat cable and C-rail systems are a solution for dangerous and explosion-proof environments.
